Colonel Job Esau congratulates VPF officers

Operation Noel 2014 has been successfully carried out by the Vanuatu Police Force (VPF) starting from the 19th of December 2014 to the 2nd of January 2015.

The Office of the Police Commissioner, headed by, Colonel Job Esau, acknowledged and appreciated the commanders and all police officers under the three elements of VPF starting from the North right down South.

“This note was serve to thank all Commanders within the Northern Command and the Southern Command for the right directives given to their soldiers , police men and women to carry out the operation Noel to ensure the communities throughout the country celebrate in peace and harmony throughout the festive sessions”

The office of the police Commissioner also thanks the Vanuatu Australian Police Project for their generous support towards Operation Noel 2014.

“This operation was successfully carried out with the financial support from VAPP to ensure community policing is carried out in both urban and rural areas throughout the country”

Colonel Esau says acknowledgement note will also highlight the support given by the Lord Mayors of the two Towns and their councillors, municipal wardens, community leaders, especially chiefs, church leaders, and everyone who has been very supportive to the VPF to ensure their communities celebrate peacefully.

“Even though there are several and minor incidents which might have occurred during the festive season but our Nation have celebrated peacefully.

“This Note will not bring an end but will begin with plans which the office of the police commissioner will later put together as directives and intentions for 2015 to ensure all VMF, Maritime and police men perform their duties professionally with respect”.

The outcome of operation Noel 2014 will be provided soon.
