UNELCO a Platinum Sponsor of Fest’Napuan 2015

UNELCO has provided the Fest’Napuan 2015 music festival committee with a generous financial sponsorship of 700,000 vatu to assist with the operations of this annual festival that encourages Ni-Vanuatu musicians to perform on the regional stage with international artists from other Pacific nations. UNELCO is one of the largest supporters of the event, which will be held from October 28 to November 1 at Saralana Stage in Port Vila.

Fest’Napuan is a free public event and its funding is raised through corporate sponsorship and other fundraising efforts.  Each year, Fest’Napuan is organised by a committee comprised entirely of volunteers.  All participating artists are performing for free – without any performance fees charged for their participation.

UNELCO has always been a strong supporter of this annual cultural event, providing support in cash and in-kind.  This year will mark the 20th anniversary of the music festival, which would not have been possible with the close partnership formed with UNELCO. The festival committee will use the sponsorship for expenses such as transporting international and local artists to come perform, hiring a sound system and paying for other operational costs associated with the festival.
